ROOM 14 NOTICE-Week One 2014

February 4th 2014

Dear Parents and Caregivers

Welcome to 2014.

Today it was lovely to meet all the children I will have the pleasure of teaching this year.

We have started some homework returns with children bringing home a book tonight. This should be easy for them, my focus at the moment is getting routines in place.

Important dates for you to know are ‘Meet the Teacher’ next Wednesday evening.

Our school sports day is on the 5th of March.

This year the school has produced a Homework log, in this the children will record their reading each night, and it will also have their spelling words stuck in it. These are available now from the office. Could you please have these purchased by the end of week two.

Could you please fill in the below slip and return it to school asap- this will particularly useful when we are writing about ourselves and our families and when we begin our Kia Kaha topic to ensure all children know the correct details of where they live and their phone numbers.

Regards

Fiona
